Povzetek
The work starts from the recognition of the dimension and depth of the security crisis that Mexico has been experiencing for years, accounting for the failures of the public policies that have been proposed to confront it. It presents the most frequent conceptions that guide the diagnosis and government action against violence in Mexico and Latin America, highlighting the most outstanding elements that contribute to the construction of a complete vision of the problem. The systemic vision of violence proposed by Johan Galtung for its integral and structural nature is fundamentally retaken, considering that it contributes important elements both for the diagnosis of the conditions of violence, and for the orientation of social efforts to build peace.
