Citizenship and social differentiation : Indigenous people in Bolivia through the body metaphors of the Andean people
Abstrak
This article analyzes the impacts of the processes of citizenship in the Andean population of Bolivia, through the analysis of the corporal metaphors, and in which these inhabitants express the "estrangement" towards their local relationships, produced by the educational practices that induce them to to separate from their primary ties to form part of the Bolivian state order. It starts from the principle that such body metaphors are impregnated with internal and external representations of the speakers and that they are part of the process of social differentiation experienced by indigenous peoples in Bolivia.
