The meaning of the epistemic framework in the theory of social representations
Abstrak
This article seeks to elucidate the meaning of the relational philosophical assumptions that underlie the elaboration of the theory of social representations, differentiating them from the split assumptions that have guided a good part of psychological currents; then, the modalities of intervention of the relational framework on the formulation of the problems, the characterization of the units of analysis, the methodological choices, as well as the nature of the definition of social representation are investigated. Next, the problem of the intervention of non-epistemic values in research and its relationship with the question of the objectivity of knowledge is discussed. Finally, the problem of the link between SR and reality is critically examined, incorporating discussions with discursive psychology.
