Cultures in communication : Between the intercultural vocation and information technologies
Résumé
Cultures in communication recognizes and proposes various ways of studying communication processes from their different dimensions: intercultural, multicultural or cross-cultural. It is about thinking about communication as an analytical field of study that unfolds in multiple explanatory fields to account for the actions of people and the media rooted in specific social contexts.
Along with the intercultural vocation described in the previous paragraph and that constitutes the first part of the book, the second focuses on the political participation of youth, ICT and mobile devices as key tools to understand contemporary cultural mutation and that, among other things, it means a redefinition of public space.
