The impact of social media on the future of students and youth between knowledge and addiction

Abstract

The massive spread of social media has had a great impact on its users, as it is estimated that about 40% of the world’s population has accounts on social media, and children, adolescents and young adults spend a long time on these means, and these are the most prominent negative effects of social media on students and adolescents. A survey of a sample of university students, and analysis of the results of the field survey, and the research reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which is that there is a negative impact of social media and its addiction to the future of students and youth, and it needs to support their awareness.
