Abstract
This work addresses the sociocultural problems of the border region of Soconusco, in Chiapas, Mexico, to discuss the right to multicultural citizenship in this region, given its characteristics marked by its insertion in the contemporary globalizing process. The "glocal" here takes on precise dimensions that allow us to scrutinize the situation of production, transnational migration, political struggles, social movements and human and citizen rights.
