Résumé

On December 31, 2019, the WHO office in China was informed that cases of pneumonia of unknown cause had been detected in Wuhan City, China's Hubei Province. Chinese authorities have identified it to be an unknown type of coronavirus (Covid-19). The number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 has increased rapidly in China and around the world, and as of January 30, 2020 the WHO declared the disease a public health emergency of international concern (USPPI). According to real-time monitoring of the spread of the epidemic carried out by Johns Hopkins University, more than 2.5 million cases of coronavirus infection and nearly 180,000 deaths have been confirmed worldwide April 22, 2020. The United States alone accounts for about a third of those diagnosed globally (nearly 830,000 cases and 45,000 deaths), and Europe nearly two-thirds of deaths (about 110,000 ).
