The Iraqi economy’s dependence on oil as a major resource is not sufficient as a single source of foreign currency and is not a funder of government spending, and it will become more difficult to rise due to its inability to develop non-oil commodity production capabilities directly and manufacturing industries, and therefore it is difficult for Iraq to adopt a development strategy that depends on reducing consumption. And the standard of living is slowly moving backward on the path of capital accumulation, and there is nothing in front of the Iraqi economy and opportunity for prosperity but its reliance on upgrading efficiency as a source of economic growth, and from here this research aims to identify the future of some macroeconomic variables in light of the political challenges in Iraq by providing analysis and forward-looking visions.
