Abstract

This research aims to identify the quality of life and its relationship to depression in individuals, and the possible relationship with the age of the child. The tools used are: Social, Demographic and Health Characterization Questionnaire, Quality of Life Questionnaire, Beck Depression and Hopelessness Inventory, and the Adult Version of the Depression Scale. The presence of depressive symptoms in the mothers did not show a significant relationship with the age of the child. There were high levels of depressive symptoms and a moderate and positive relationship between environment and income. However, taking an active role in treatment and taking practical steps can certainly improve feeling.
