Abstract
This research investigates the prevalence and nature of psychic experiences among urban residents in Johannesburg, South Africa. Through a combination of surveys and focus groups, the study aims to understand how urban living impacts individuals' psychic sensitivities and experiences. The findings reveal that urban environments can both enhance and hinder psychic experiences, with factors such as noise, stress, and social dynamics playing significant roles. Participants report a range of psychic phenomena, including precognitive dreams and heightened intuition, often linked to their experiences in the bustling city. The research emphasizes the need for a nuanced understanding of how urban contexts shape human consciousness and psychic experiences. By contributing to the discourse on urban psychology and parapsychology, this study advocates for further exploration of the psychic dimensions of city life.
