Abstract
This study investigates the intergenerational transmission of psychic abilities within African communities, focusing on how these experiences are passed down through families. Through qualitative interviews and ethnographic observations, the research explores the beliefs, practices, and narratives surrounding psychic phenomena in various cultural contexts. The findings reveal that many individuals attribute their psychic abilities to familial lineage, emphasizing the role of cultural traditions in shaping these experiences. The study also discusses the implications of intergenerational transmission for community identity and mental health, suggesting that recognizing and validating psychic experiences can strengthen cultural ties. By documenting these intergenerational narratives, this research contributes to the understanding of parapsychology within African traditions, advocating for further exploration of the cultural dimensions of psychic phenomena.
