Exploring the Psychic Experiences of African Traditional Healers

Published 2021-07-16

Abstract

This research delves into the psychic experiences reported by African traditional healers, exploring how these phenomena are integrated into their healing practices. Through ethnographic methods, the study captures the narratives of healers from various cultural backgrounds, examining how psychic abilities are perceived and utilized in their work. The findings reveal that many traditional healers attribute their effectiveness to psychic sensitivity, which they believe enhances their connection to spiritual realms and facilitates healing. Additionally, the research highlights the importance of cultural context in understanding these experiences, suggesting that psychic phenomena are often intertwined with spiritual beliefs and practices. By documenting the experiences of traditional healers, this study contributes to the discourse on parapsychology and the need for culturally inclusive research methodologies.
