Abstract
The prevalence of dissociative disorders (DD) is highly variable between countries and cultures. Studies in this regard document the prevalence of illness in the past year from 5 to 10% in the general population, and from 10.2 to 41.4% in psychiatric patients. A mental disorder is a psychological or behavioral pattern that results from feelings of malaise or helplessness that afflict an individual and is not part of the normal development of mental skills or culture. The ways mental health conditions are perceived and understood have changed over time and across cultures, and there are still differences in the classification, definition, and evaluation of mental disorders. This is despite the fact that standard guidelines are widely accepted. This study seeks to identify the most important disorders affecting the psychological system.
