Performance management: Impact on organizational performance of the integration of the strategy

Published 2021-05-09

Abstract

This study verifies to what extent perceived organizational performance can be predicted by integrating elements of strategy (vertical operational strategic integration) into performance management practices. It also examines whether the consistency of human resource management systems with performance management is linked to superior organizational performance. The results show that the more the elements of the strategy are integrated into the performance management system, the more the competitiveness, the competitive positioning and the sustainability of the organization increase. On the other hand, the results indicate that the increase in the consistency of HRM systems with the performance management system is linked to an increase in the competitive positioning of the organization.
