Abstract
very day, I am more convinced that the book is not only a disappearing object, like the work of our salineros, but that it demands, like our salineros, a culture, in the sense of cultivation, care, dedication, to that the book be edited "as it should be": perfect(one of the synonyms for the word SAL). The set of efforts expressed in this book has been articulated by the design and care of the edition, by Pablo Rulfo and Verónica Loera Chávez, respectively. I am sure that without the attentive and sensitive work of both, this book could not restore to the salineros the dignity with which they carry out their own work. We owe, therefore, very especially, to the editing work, that this collective effort has become a reality. It is as if SALT, one of whose properties is to concentrate, had itself caused the dispersed to be articulated as a book, and to be distilled, until reaching an undeniable consistency.
