Body, supply and power. A look at the masculinities of bricklayers in Yecapixtla, Morelos, Mexico

Abstract

The studies of masculinities, driven by the development of feminism and men's studies since the eighties of the last century, have focused on analyzing and understanding the social, cultural and historical reality in which men develop as generic subjects, with the aim of delving into the experiences, emotions, privileges and costs of masculinity. Within this line, it is recognized that the workplace is one of the institutions, where gender learning is reaffirmed and rethought. That is why, from the ethnography, this text seeks to deepen the construction of masculinities among a group of masons over 50 years of age in the northeastern region of Morelos. Taking the body as axes of analysis
